I have endless love for Road Avenger. Dragon's Lair mechanics are not usually my cuppa, but I cannot resist a game that's just so balls-out about a car going where it should not.

Ah, good old Wolfteam, also bringing us my personal favorite SegaCD game, Road Avenger! Kinda wish I had some more of their stuff.

Hastur? As in "Cthulhu Mythos" Hastur?
Don't say his name!

Maybe the "jar of meat" is bootleg whiskey?

Gives a new meaning to "blast processing"! =0

Yeah, you're REAAAAAAL mature, Un!
UnPlayedAThing 2008-02-11
Yeah, I thought it looked as if you were continuing something you'd already posted. I guess YouTube must have dropped the first comment on the floor.
Funkyfox 2008-02-11
Wow did I ever get cut off; I had a whole other comment tehre.
UnPlayedAThing 2008-02-11
I was a theater nerd in high school, but nothing since then. Thanks!

Would Un have had previous experience as an actor, perchance?
You've got a large assortment of voices. It sounds great.
UnPlayedAThing 2008-02-11
Annet Futatabi? Yeah, quite the disappointment, that was.
Funkyfox 2008-02-11
...and sadly it's a crappy Streets Of Rage knock-off from the dying days of WOLFTEAM. (Got cut off, I did!)
Funkyfox 2008-02-11
No creating upright funnels or dark worlds of boners, young man! There's laws against that sort of thing. XD

The "big explosions" thing is a Sega invention that they were, at the time, quite proud of -- a sprite scaling technique. It, too, has aged quite poorly.

Awesome sauce!
